A Common Reality...
You show up to every meeting prepared, polished, and alert—keenly aware that you are doing more than your job description requires. You're not just contributing ideas; you're navigating microaggressions, translating culture, and carrying the burden of being the first, the only, or the one who always speaks up.
It's exhausting to hold space for others when you're rarely held yourself. You find yourself wondering, does anyone really see me? And while you've mastered how to lead in these spaces, the solitude is real.
How will your leadership evolve when you're leading
from a grounded, affirmed self?
Imagine yourself in community...
1
Find Understanding
You're not explaining your reality; you're being understood in real time. You hear someone name the very dynamic you thought only lived in your head.
2
Gain Solidarity
There's ease in knowing that someone will check in, remind you of who you are, and send a resource that hits just right.
3
Transform Your Presence
You begin to show up differently—
more honest, more rooted, more you
because you know you're held.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is Thriving Together? Is it a course, a coaching group, or a community?
Thriving Together is a hybrid experience: part sister-circle, part professional development space, and part leadership incubator. It combines structured group coaching, themed conversations, and a sustained peer community intentionally designed for Black women in academia.
How long is the program, and what's the time commitment each month?
Each session runs for a semester (4 months). Expect to engage for 3-4 hours per month across workshops, community connection, and optional reflection resources. This includes 1.5 hour monthly witness circles and 1 hour empower labs or pause & pour sessions.
Is this only for staff and administrators, or can faculty and graduate students join too?
We welcome Black women across the academic ecosystem. Sessions are geared toward the experiences of administrators and aspiring leaders, honoring the many ways leadership shows up in our roles.
